Choi Hyun-man, former chairman of Mirae Asset Securities, received 10.5 billion won in compensation last year

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Choi Hyun-man, former chairman of Mirae Asset Securities Co., received more than 10 billion won in compensation last year.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 18th, Choi received 10.559 billion won in total remuneration last year. Retirement pay is 6.156 billion won, salary is 1.667 billion won and bonuses are 2.735 billion won.

Regarding the bonuses, Mirae Asset Securities said the amount included all 935 million won in deferred payments for its performance in 2019, 790 million won in 2020, 774 million won in 2021 and 236 million won for its performance in 2022.

Mirae Asset will continue to pay additional bonuses in accordance with the deferred payment rules for performance bonuses.

Choi previously sold his 295,055 shares (2.17%) in Mirae Asset Asset Management to Mirae Asset Group Chairman Park Hyun-joo's family company for about 45 billion won.
