Korea's food price growth rate is the third largest in the world

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] The growth rate of food prices in Korea has surpassed the average level of major advanced countries again in more than two years, a report showed.

According to data compiled by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Korea's "food and non-mainstream drinks" inflation rate stood at 6.95 percent in February, exceeding the OECD average of 5.32 percent.

As of February, Korea's food and non-mainstream beverage inflation rate was the third-highest among the 35 member countries where statistics were compiled, after Turkey (71.12%) and Iceland (7.52%).
