[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] Socar reported on the 13th that its operating loss for the first quarter of this year amounted to 10.8 billion won, significantly higher than the deficit of 5 billion won in the same period last year.

Although first-quarter revenue increased by 5.7% to 90.6 billion won, net losses surged by 56% to 16.7 billion won compared to the same period last year.

Revenue from the car-sharing division totaled 83.8 billion won, marking a 24.1% increase.

Revenue from used car sales plummeted by 98% to 200 million won. This decline was influenced by minimizing the sale of used cars to expand the lifetime value (LTV) of vehicles.
