Doosan Robotics hired Toss as its chief strategy officer

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] Doosan Robotics formed an organization in charge of strategic planning and recruited Toss as a new CSO (Chief Strategy Officer). Doosan Robotics said on the 29th that it has appointed Kim Min-pyo, vice president of Toss Payments, to take the post of CSO.

Kim, who graduated from Hanyang University's Department of Transportation Engineering and Dartmouth University's Tuck School of Business, worked as a corporate finance manager at Citibank in the U.S. and as a McKinsey & Company consultant. Since then, he has joined Viva Republica (Toss), a FinTech company, in 2018 to oversee insurance business and products. He served as CEO of Toss Payments until recently with the launch of Toss Payments, an electronic payment agency, in 2020.

The Doosan Robotics CSO organization is under the Advanced SW Innovation Research Institute and Marketing and Strategy/New Business Team, and is responsible for strengthening the competitiveness of the cooperative robot market and discovering new growth engines.
