[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Luxury fashion house Dior confirmed on May 13 that it suffered a data breach earlier this month, affecting some of its customer information.

In a notice posted on its official website, Dior stated that it "identified unauthorized access by a third party to certain customer data" on May 7. The compromised data includes customers' contact details and information related to purchase history and preferences.

Dior emphasized that no financial data was affected. "The accessed database did not contain any banking information, IBANs, or credit card details," the company said.

The company added that it is working closely with cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident and has reported the breach to the relevant data protection authority.

“We sincerely apologize for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused,” Dior said in the statement.
