[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] SEOUL/JINJU, August 26, 2025 — Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) announced on August 26 that it has filed a request for investigation with Jinju Police after confirming a fraud case involving individuals impersonating LH employees in the Jinju area, South Gyeongsang Province.

In a press release, LH explained: “There have been incidents in which individuals posed as LH staff to approach companies, induce purchases of specific goods, or collect payment and then disappear. Fake LH business cards were even presented to suppliers.”

LH noted that the scheme resembles recent scams targeting businesses by impersonating public institutions, in which fraudsters demand advance payments or purchase proxy arrangements under the guise of public procurement contracts.

The corporation stressed: “All contracts, including procurement, are conducted strictly through official procedures. LH never requests advance payments, proxy purchases, or direct settlement from individual suppliers outside of these procedures.”
