[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, South Korea – August 25, 2025 – Taihan Cable & Solution Co., Ltd. announced today that it has been awarded the “GTC/1217A/2024” project from Qatar’s state-owned utility authority. The contract is valued at approximately KRW 180.4 billion (USD ~133 million), representing about 5.5% of the company’s 2024 consolidated revenue of KRW 3.29 trillion.

The project involves the installation of extra-high-voltage (EHV) power cables to transmit electricity generated from Qatar’s power facilities across the national grid.

A Taihan spokesperson commented, “This landmark project further strengthens our position in the Middle Eastern power infrastructure market. We will continue to leverage our advanced EHV cable technology and global project expertise to support Qatar’s grid expansion and energy transition efforts.”

This latest win underscores Taihan’s growing presence in overseas markets, particularly in regions with strong demand for next-generation transmission infrastructure.
