[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Krafton has announced its plan to actively enter the M & A market starting this year.

Bae Dong-geun, chief financial officer (CFO) of Krafton, answered to a shareholder's question at a regular shareholders' meeting held at the Seoul Trade Exhibition Convention Center (SETEC) in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 26th, "We will start M & A in earnest this year."

"The targets are several companies, ranging from small companies to large companies," CFO Bae said. "We held a meeting last year by reviewing 350 game companies around the world, and we will start M & A in earnest based on the formation of such a relationship this year."

Krafton re-elected existing outside directors and auditors at a shareholders' meeting and passed an agenda to give CFO Bae a total of 80,000 stock options.

A minority shareholder expressed concerns about granting stock options, pointing out, "I think more compensation should be given to employees who actually create and contribute to games than executives."

Krafton was listed on the stock market in August 2021 at 498,000 won, but its stock price has since fallen to 145,900 won, the lowest price in 52 weeks, and closed at 240,000 won the previous day.
