[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Daishin Securities presented SK Hynix's 'buy' opinion and target price of 220,000 won on the 2nd. Even if competition for high bandwidth memory (HBM) intensifies, SK Hynix will lead the market.
Daishin Securities explained, "SK Hynix will maintain its high market share as a HBM leader in 2024 and will be able to maintain its market share in 2025 when competition for HBM supply begins."
Daishin Securities said, "Samsung Electronics will supply 12-layer HBM3E (5th generation HBM) from the second half of this year, and Micron will supply HBM3E for the NVIDIA H200," but added, "As SK Hynix's HBM technology competitiveness and yield are higher than that of its competitors, it is likely to continue to dominate the HBM market for a while."
Daishin Securities also pointed out, "We are scheduled to mass-produce HBM3Es from supply competitors, but we should pay attention to the fact that it is the world's No. 1 HBM company and the growing demand for HBM rather than intensifying competition."
Daishin Securities predicts that SK Hynix will record annual sales of 59.3 trillion won in 2024 (81% increase from the previous year). It also predicted that operating profit will turn into a surplus of 13.5 trillion won.
