[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Dong Sung Pharm is expanding its global reach as its organic sanitary pad brand WOW enters the Chinese market.

The company announced on the 6th that it had signed an export contract for its organic sanitary pad brand WOW with FIMS, a global import and distribution company.

The contract includes 500,000 units, which will be distributed through both online and offline channels in China. Dong Sung Pharm has been focusing on the Chinese export market with brands such as Easyen and Rangs, building a robust network of distribution channels and partners. This latest contract is expected to significantly boost export revenues.

Recently, quality controversies involving local Chinese sanitary pad manufacturers have sparked boycotts, increasing demand for high-quality K-Sanitary Pads. Dong Sung Pharm hopes this deal will provide a stable alternative in the unstable Chinese market.

Launched in 2017, Dong Sung's WOW sanitary pads have been primarily distributed through pharmacies and popular online platforms like Coupang. The product has been well-received for its safety and reliability, being developed by a pharmaceutical company. WOW pads feature a 100% natural cotton cover, making them safe for sensitive skin. They are certified with the OCS100 mark, which verifies that more than 95% of the raw materials used are organic.

Even during the 2018 controversy in South Korea over radon contamination in sanitary pads, WOW gained recognition as a safe option, free from harmful substances such as dyes, fragrances, chemical fertilizers, optical brighteners, and formaldehyde.
