[Alpha Biz= Kim Sangjin] On Monday, IVE held a press conference at the Grand Ballroom of the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their third mini-album, IVE EMPATHY.
Main vocalist Liz took charge of the high notes for the new title track, "Attitude." She playfully remarked, "I never imagined a song with higher notes than 'I AM,'" but added with confidence, "I've practiced a lot, so I don't think there will be any difficulty performing it on music shows."
Gaeul expressed excitement, saying, "Through preparing for the world tour and Lollapalooza, we've grown a lot in terms of teamwork and stage performance. I believe this comeback will allow us to show off our amazing progress."
Member Jang Wonyoung participated in writing the lyrics for the new title track, "Attitude." Jang Wonyoung, who had already contributed to writing several tracks on the album, explained, "Fans and the company liked it so much that I suggested writing the title track lyrics next." He shared, "I put an optimistic mindset into the lyrics, accepting things I can't change. Since fans have shown me so much love as 'Lucky Viki,' I hope they'll embrace the lyrics with the 'Lucky Viki' mindset and love it."
Reflecting on the popularity of expressions like "Wonyoung-like thinking" and "Lucky Viki," Jang Wonyoung said, "I've always lived true to myself, but I’m grateful that others view me positively and give me such labels. I thought to myself, 'I need to keep going on the right and good path.' In fact, I am positively influenced by these labels, and I believe this is the true essence of 'Lucky Viki.'"
