[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] SEOUL, November 10, 2025 — LG Household & Health Care (LG H&H) reported a decline in both revenue and operating profit for the third quarter, reflecting the short-term impact of ongoing business efficiency and portfolio optimization efforts. However, the company noted that overseas sales growth — particularly in North America — demonstrates early signs of a sustainable rebound.

For the quarter ended September 30, LG H&H posted consolidated revenue of ₩1.58 trillion, down 7.8% year-on-year, and operating profit of ₩46.2 billion, a 56.5% decrease from the same period last year.

Overseas revenue climbed 6.6% to ₩493 billion, led by strong performance in North America (+21.1%) and Japan (+6.8%), which offset a 4.7% decline in China.

“While domestic demand remained sluggish, our household goods (HDB) and beverage divisions delivered steady growth,” an LG H&H spokesperson said. “The Beauty division faced temporary headwinds due to strategic restructuring and reduced duty-free operations, but this will strengthen our long-term foundation for recovery.”

Segment Highlights

Beauty Division: Revenue dropped 26.5% to ₩471 billion, posting an operating loss of ₩58.8 billion. Despite double-digit growth in local health & beauty (H&B) channels, the deliberate downsizing of unprofitable duty-free operations weighed on results.
Brands such as CNP Laboratory, VDL, and Hince continued to introduce new functional products, reinforcing market competitiveness among MZ-generation consumers.

Household Goods (HDB): Revenue and operating profit rose 4.1% and 6.8%, to ₩569 billion and ₩42.4 billion, respectively. Premium oral-care brand Yumsmile saw steady growth in Korea and Japan, while Dr. Groot, a premium scalp-care line, expanded from online to offline retail channels across North America.

Beverage Division: Revenue increased 2.4% to ₩512 billion, and operating profit surged 16.9% to ₩62.6 billion, supported by strong marketing execution during the seasonal peak and cost-management initiatives.

LG H&H stated that it will continue to pursue brand innovation and global market expansion, leveraging the K-Beauty wave and lifestyle-focused premiumization strategies.
