[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Naver’s artificial intelligence-powered search service, AI Briefing, is accounting for a steadily growing share of overall searches on the platform, reflecting strong user adoption.

According to Naver on Dec. 15, AI Briefing searches exceeded 20% of total searches on the platform as of Dec. 11. This milestone meets the target outlined by Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon during the company’s second-quarter earnings call in August, when she said the goal was to reach that level by year-end.

Naver attributed the growth to AI Briefing’s ability to summarize and deliver key information based on a vast pool of experience-based data, which has resonated with users seeking concise and practical answers.

Amid rising public interest in space and astronomy following recent launches such as Nuriho’s fourth mission and the Arirang-7 satellite, Naver has also strengthened specialized search services in these fields. Users can now access comprehensive information at a glance, ranging from stargazing locations to astrophotography tips.

For example, searches for “good places for stargazing” provide not only location details but also practical information such as operating days, admission fees, and parking availability. These results are powered by accumulated on-site reviews from actual visitors.

Photography-related searches also offer expert-level guidance, including camera-specific tips for capturing star images and beginner-friendly shooting techniques, drawing on insights shared by professional photographers and travel and photography influencers.

Naver said it has significantly expanded professional content and refined its search algorithms to prioritize reliable sources, aiming to further enhance the accuracy and trustworthiness of its AI-powered search results.
