[Alpha Biz= Kim Sangjin] Hanwha Vision is reportedly considering providing financial support for Hanwha Hotels & Resorts’ bid to acquire Ourhome, signaling Hanwha Group’s backing for Vice President Kim Dong-sun’s business expansion efforts. Kim currently oversees future vision strategy for Hanwha Hotels & Resorts.

Meanwhile, Koo Ji-eun, the third daughter of Ourhome’s founder and former vice chairwoman, is also exploring options to secure financial investors (FIs) and exercise her preemptive purchase rights.

According to investment banking (IB) sources on Wednesday, Hanwha Vision is weighing the possibility of providing 250 to 300 billion KRW to support the acquisition. Hanwha Hotels & Resorts stated, “We are reviewing various business opportunities, but nothing has been decided yet.”

Hanwha Vision was launched after Hanwha Industrial Solutions absorbed its subsidiary Hanwha Vision on January 1 this year, with the company rebranded under the name Hanwha Vision. At the time, Hanwha Industrial Solutions owned 100% of Hanwha Vision’s shares.
