[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, South Korea — July 8, 2025 — LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solutions announced that they have signed a submarine cable supply and installation contract worth approximately KRW 250 billion for the Anma Offshore Wind Power Project, located near Anmado Island in Yeonggwang County, South Jeolla Province.

According to regulatory filings made on July 8, LS Cable & System secured a contract valued at KRW 161 billion, while LS Marine Solutions signed a separate contract worth KRW 94 billion. For LS Marine Solutions, the deal represents a major milestone, equivalent to 72.15% of its total annual revenue in 2024.

The Anma Offshore Wind project is LS Marine Solutions’ second domestic offshore wind project and marks the largest single offshore wind installation contract in the company’s history.

The wind farm, to be built over a sea area of 83.9 million square meters near Anmado, will have a total generation capacity of 532 megawatts (MW). Once operational, it is expected to produce 1,400 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually—enough to power approximately 380,000 households or 1.4 million people.

LS Marine Solutions will be fully responsible for laying the submarine cables that will connect the wind farm to the mainland. Full-scale construction is scheduled to begin in 2027.

The company plans to deploy its 8,000-ton cable-laying vessel GL2030, currently being retrofitted for the project. The vessel is specifically designed to operate in the shallow waters and fast currents of Korea’s west coast, making it a strategic asset for the Anma project.
