OCI's Malaysian subsidiary has a long-term supply contract to a 930 billion won polysilicon solar energy company

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] OCIM, a Malaysian subsidiary of photovoltaic company OCI Holdings, announced on the 25th that it has signed a $700 million (about 930 billion won) long-term supply contract for photovoltaic polysilicon with Trina Solar, a global photovoltaic company.

OCIM produces low-carbon polysilicon through Malaysia's eco-friendly hydroelectric power generation and supplies it to Tree or Solar production bases in Vietnam by 2030.

OCI Holdings plans to expand OCIM's polysilicon production capacity from 30,000 5000t to 50,000 6600t by 2027.
