KRAFTON Acquires Japanese Content and Advertising Leader ADK Group for ¥75 Billion

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] KRAFTON Inc. announced on June 24 that it has acquired 100% of the shares of BCJ-31 Co., Ltd., the parent company of ADK Group and a portfolio company of Bain Capital Japan, for approximately ¥75 billion (around KRW 710 billion or USD 480 million).



Through this acquisition, ADK has become a consolidated subsidiary of KRAFTON.



ADK is one of Japan’s top three integrated advertising companies and has built extensive capabilities across content planning and production, advertising, and marketing. With participation in over 300 animation production committees, ADK’s annual transaction volume reaches approximately ¥348 billion.



KRAFTON stated that the acquisition aligns with its long-term strategy to enhance synergies between animation and games, and to strengthen its foundation in Japan’s content and media sectors.



KRAFTON plans to pursue step-by-step collaboration with ADK by leveraging the unique strengths of both companies. In particular, KRAFTON aims to combine its gaming expertise with ADK’s 70 years of experience in advertising and media infrastructure in Japan, exploring long-term opportunities for expansion across the broader content industry.
