[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] KT&G announced on Wednesday that it has received international credit ratings of "A-" (stable) from S&P and "A3" (stable) from Moody's, two of the world’s top three credit rating agencies.

The "A-" rating from S&P signifies a strong credit standing with minimal credit risk, placing KT&G on par with the global top-tier tobacco companies. Similarly, Moody's "A3" rating reflects one of the highest levels among South Korean conglomerates.

The agencies highlighted KT&G’s strong business stability, supported by its dominant market position in the tobacco industry. Additionally, in June 2023, KT&G secured the highest "AAA (stable)" rating from South Korea's top three domestic credit rating agencies.
