Financial Regulator Fines Kosdaq-Listed Vidente ₩4.65 Billion for Accounting Violations

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] On Wednesday (Feb. 5), the Financial Services Commission (FSC) announced a fine of ₩4.65 billion against Kosdaq-listed company Vidente for violating accounting standards in its financial statements.


Additionally, the former CEO and another executive were fined ₩520 million, while Daehyun Accounting Corporation was penalized ₩260 million.


Vidente was found to have failed to disclose ₩80 billion in related-party liabilities in its 2021 financial statement notes and improperly accounted for derivative liabilities.


The FSC also decided to impose fines on DI Dongil and Korea Land Trust for similar violations.


DI Dongil received a ₩4.24 billion fine, with ₩1.05 billion imposed on its former CEO and two other executives. Shinhan Accounting Corporation was fined ₩180 million.


Korea Land Trust was fined ₩100 million, and a former executive received a ₩7 million penalty.
