[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] SEOUL, South Korea – October 21, 2025 – Korean Air Co., Ltd. reported ₩4.01 trillion in revenue and ₩376.3 billion in operating profit for the third quarter of 2025, representing a 6% decline in sales and a 39% drop in operating income year-on-year.

Net profit fell 67% to ₩91.8 billion, weighed down by rising costs from a strong Korean won, intensifying global competition, and expanded international flight capacity.

Passenger revenue decreased to ₩2.42 trillion, affected by changes in the Chuseok holiday schedule and tighter U.S. entry restrictions.
Cargo revenue also declined to ₩1.07 trillion, but the company said it maintained profitability through route adjustments and optimized capacity management.

Looking ahead, Korean Air expects a rebound in passenger demand during the year-end peak travel season, supported by holiday travel and strong e-commerce and high-value cargo shipments. The airline plans to strengthen its profitability through a focus on premium freight and yield management.
