[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Motors and Kia announced on the 28th that they signed a "China Connected Car Strategic Cooperation Agreement (MOU)" with Baidu at the Yosemite Hotel in Beijing on the previous day (27th).

The two companies plan to build a new business ecosystem in a comprehensive area such as connectivity, autonomous driving, intelligent transportation systems, and cloud computing through this agreement. In response to China's tightened data regulations, Baidu will start developing compliance solutions using smart clouds. We plan to discover new products, new businesses, and new business models using artificial intelligence.

Hyundai Motor and Baidu have been collaborating for 10 years since 2014. Baidu is considered to have China's best technology in artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and search engines, including connectivity.
