[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Doosan Enerbility's fines for accounting violations have been confirmed at 16.1 billion won.

According to related industries on the 20th, the Financial Services Commission reviewed the results of the Securities and Futures Commission's vote on Doosan Enerbility and confirmed the disposition of gross negligence. Earlier, the Securities and Futures Commission issued a gross negligence one step lower than the Financial Supervisory Service's request.

The decision of the Securities and Futures Commission was confirmed by the Financial Services Commission. The level of disciplinary action against accounting violations is higher in the order of negligence, gross negligence, and intentionality.

The penalty was also set at 16.1 billion won. The amount of fines has also decreased than expected as the level of disciplinary action has been lowered. Initially, the amount of fines notified by the Financial Supervisory Service was known to have been KRW 45 billion.
