[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] DL Construction, a subsidiary of DL E&C, is set to leave its Yeouido office.

According to industry sources on Tuesday, DL Construction's lease agreement for the FKI Tower in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, will expire this June, prompting the move.

While DL Construction's registered headquarters is the Ilryu Building in Guwol-dong, Incheon, its Seoul office houses the majority of its workforce and serves as the de facto headquarters. The company currently occupies the 24th to 26th floors of the FKI Tower.

Amid a prolonged downturn in the construction industry, more companies are relocating away from Seoul's central areas, seeking to reduce rental costs or enhance operational efficiency through strategic synergies.

DL E&C has also announced plans to move its headquarters from the D-Tower Donuimun in Pyeong-dong, Jongno-gu, to One Grove in Magok-dong, Gangseo-gu, in the latter half of this year.
