Samsung E&A Secures $1.76 Billion EPC Contract for UAE Methanol Project

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Samsung E&A announced on Monday that it signed an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for the "UAE Methanol Project" on January 31.


The project involves constructing a methanol production plant capable of producing 5,000 tons per day within the TA’ZIZ industrial complex in the Ruwais Industrial Zone, UAE. The total contract value is approximately 2.48 trillion KRW ($1.76 billion), with a construction period of 44 months.


Leveraging its recent success in the Malaysia methanol project, Samsung E&A plans to maximize efficiency in this project by incorporating advanced technologies such as modularization and automation. 

 

 

Additionally, with experience executing eight projects in the Ruwais Industrial Zone, the company intends to utilize its accumulated local expertise and network to ensure high-quality project completion.
