[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced on June 16 that the "Epresso Ice Cup," a food-grade ice product sold at convenience store chain Emart24, has been found to exceed permissible limits for bacterial count.

The product was manufactured by "Bluepine," a food processing company based in Asan, South Chungcheong Province. The Asan City government is currently enforcing a sales suspension and recall of the affected item.

The specific batch subject to recall was manufactured on May 28, 2025, and is packaged in 180g units.

The MFDS has instructed all vendors in possession of the recalled product to immediately cease sales and return the items to the designated distributor. Consumers who have purchased the product are urged to return it to the relevant point of sale and cooperate actively with the recall efforts to ensure public safety.
