[Alpha Biz= Ellie Kim] Mom's Touch has announced measures to strengthen protection for franchise owners and employees after a customer disturbance incident from six months ago resurfaced online, reigniting controversy.
In a statement released on April 20, the company said it “places utmost importance on the safety and rights of franchise owners and employees working on-site.”
The company added that, upon request from franchisees, it will actively provide legal guidance and consulting support as part of its responsibility as a business partner, assisting stores in reviewing and responding to legal matters.
The renewed attention stems from an incident in October last year, when a female customer reportedly assaulted an employee and damaged property after being denied a drink refill at a Mom’s Touch store. Footage of the incident has recently spread again online.
According to the company, police were dispatched at the time of the incident, and legal proceedings involving the individual are currently ongoing.
