[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] The North Face Korea (operated by Youngone Outdoor) has issued an official apology after confirming inaccurate labeling of down fill composition in certain units of its “1996 Retro Nuptse Jacket.”

According to the company’s announcement on December 3, some products sold through specific retail channels were found to have mislabeled fill information. The company stated that it “deeply regrets the error and the disappointment caused to customers.”

Youngone Outdoor said it immediately corrected the labeling once the issue was identified and launched a full inspection across all sales channels. The review uncovered 13 products with incorrect fill information, which have since been updated.

The company will directly contact customers who purchased affected items during the mislabeling period and provide guidance on refund procedures.

Youngone Outdoor added that insufficient verification processes were the root cause and emphasized its commitment to improving quality control and preventing future incidents.

The issue came to light after a consumer inquiry revealed discrepancies between the product page—listing the fill as “80% goose down, 20% feather”—and the actual recycled blend containing both goose and duck down.
