[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Netmarble is preparing to sell its headquarters building, G-Tower, in Seoul’s Guro District as part of a strategy to secure liquidity in a challenging business environment.

According to sources in the gaming industry on Monday, the company has sent a request for proposals (RFP) to real estate advisory firms to select a lead manager for the sale. Netmarble is reportedly seeking around 800 billion KRW (approx. $580 million) for the property.

Completed in 2021, G-Tower is a 39-story office building with seven underground floors and a total floor area of approximately 172,500 square meters. It currently houses Netmarble and its affiliates. During the peak of the gaming boom, the lights in the building famously stayed on late into the night, earning it the nickname “the lighthouse.”

Netmarble is reportedly considering relocating to its new headquarters, G-Town, currently under construction in Gwacheon’s Knowledge Information Town. The new complex will span 12,000 square meters and is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2027.
