[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] NAVER Cloud announced on May 28 that it has signed an agreement with the National Housing Company (NHC) of Saudi Arabia to establish a new joint venture, NAVER Innovation, marking its first strategic business entity in the Middle East.
NAVER Innovation will be the first business subsidiary under NAVER’s regional headquarters, NAVER Arabia, and will be jointly funded by NAVER Cloud and NHC Innovation, a subsidiary of NHC.
The newly formed entity aims to accelerate digital transformation in Saudi Arabia’s public and residential sectors by introducing smart city technologies, ultimately improving the quality of life for Saudi citizens.
NAVER's cutting-edge Digital Twin Platform is expected to be deployed in major cities across Saudi Arabia. The platform not only supports flood prediction, but also provides functions essential for future urban planning—such as traffic flow analysis and population distribution modeling.
NAVER Cloud also plans to localize and deploy its proven reservation, payment, and personalization technologies—successfully implemented in Korea—by adapting them to Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure and cultural context.
This move represents a significant step in NAVER’s global expansion strategy, as the company continues to export its advanced digital technologies to drive innovation in emerging markets.
