[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] A proposed exclusive partnership between Kyochon F&B, the operator of Kyochon Chicken, and Woowa Brothers, which runs South Korea’s leading delivery app Baemin (Baedal Minjok), has ultimately fallen through.

According to the food service industry on July 3, the two companies failed to reach a final agreement on the "Baemin Only" deal.

Previously, Kyochon F&B had planned to withdraw its presence from Coupang Eats and operate exclusively through Baemin, Yogiyo, the public delivery app "Ddangyo," and its own Kyochon Chicken app. In exchange for this exclusive commitment, Kyochon was expected to receive reduced commission fees from Woowa Brothers to ease the burden on its franchisees.

However, negotiations between the two parties ultimately did not result in a signed agreement.
