[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul / Los Angeles, September 15, 2025 — CJ ENM announced that Severance, produced by its global studio Fifth Season, won eight awards at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, the most prestigious honors in the U.S. television industry.

The ceremony, held on September 14 (local time) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, recognized Severance with eight awards, including Best Actress (Britt Lower) and Best Supporting Actor (Tramell Tillman) in major categories. In addition, Slow Horses, distributed globally by Fifth Season, received the Best Directing award (Adam Randall). Often referred to as the “Oscars of Television,” the Primetime Emmy Awards represent the highest distinction in U.S. broadcasting.

Severance is a suspense drama that tells the story of corporate employees who undergo a “severance procedure” to completely divide their personal and professional identities. Since the release of Season 1, the series has won two Creative Arts Emmy Awards and five Critics Choice Television Awards, and following the finale of Season 2, it became the first Apple TV+ original to enter Nielsen’s overall top 10 streaming rankings.

Beyond Severance, other international series also achieved sweeping success at this year’s awards. HBO Max’s medical drama The Pit won five awards, including Best Drama Series and Best Actor (Noah Wyle). Netflix’s British drama A Boy’s Time won six awards, including Best Limited Series, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Meanwhile, Apple TV+ comedy drama The Studio dominated the comedy categories, taking home a total of 13 awards, including Best Comedy Series.
