SK Innovation Sells Entire Stake in Japanese Energy Company ENEOS

[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] SK Innovation has sold its entire stake in ENEOS, a major Japanese energy company, according to its 2024 business report released on Tuesday.


The report revealed that SK Innovation has fully divested its shares in ENEOS, Japan's largest integrated energy company. As of 2023, the book value of these shares was approximately 78.3 billion KRW.


SK Innovation acquired its stake in ENEOS in January 2007, purchasing shares worth about 98 billion KRW, and the two companies had maintained a strategic partnership since then. The management teams of both companies held a regular cooperation meeting in Seogwipo, Jeju Island, last November.


ENEOS, Japan's largest integrated energy company, reported revenue of 13.8569 trillion yen (approximately 135.27 trillion KRW) and operating profit of 401.3 billion yen (approximately 3.92 trillion KRW) for the previous year.
