[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Samsung C&T’s Engineering & Construction Group has been officially selected as the contractor for the Shinjeong 1152 redevelopment project located in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.

According to Samsung C&T on July 20, the Shinjeong 1152 Redevelopment Association approved the selection of Samsung C&T as the construction contractor during a general meeting held on July 19.

The project involves the construction of 14 residential buildings with four underground and up to 15 above-ground floors, totaling 971 apartment units along with various community facilities. The total construction cost is estimated at approximately KRW 450.7 billion (around USD 340 million).

Samsung C&T proposed the new complex name “Mokdong Raemian TRAMAISON,” a blend of the Italian word “TRA” (meaning center) and the French word “MAISON” (meaning house). The name reflects the company’s vision to develop the project into a landmark complex in Mokdong, surrounded by the expansive Gye-nam Neighborhood Park.

Optimizing the original design of 16 buildings into 14, Samsung C&T has ensured that 578 units will feature permanent views of Gye-nam Park. Additionally, four different site levels will be consolidated into two to improve connectivity, and a new green space of approximately 4,978 square meters will be created within the development.

The project will also feature a high-end community center equipped with 30 amenities, including a panoramic 360-degree sky lounge, indoor gym, golf range, sauna, and study lounges, providing residents with an exceptional residential experience.
