Korea Investment & Securities Announces KRW 900 Billion Rights Offering

[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Seoul, August 26, 2025 — Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. announced on August 26 that it has resolved to conduct a shareholder-allotted rights offering worth KRW 900 billion. A total of 18,000 new shares will be issued, with a par value of KRW 5,000 per share and an issue price of KRW 50 million per share. Subscription is scheduled for September 26, with payment due on September 29. Korea Financial Holdings, which owns 100% of Korea Investment & Securities, will fully subscribe to the offering.



Upon completion of the capital increase, Korea Investment & Securities’ equity capital is expected to exceed KRW 12 trillion by the end of the year. As of the end of June, the company’s equity stood at KRW 10.52 trillion. The new capital of KRW 900 billion, combined with projected net income of KRW 600 billion in the second half of 2025, is expected to strengthen the company’s balance sheet.



Korea Investment & Securities has actively expanded its capital base in recent years. At the end of 2024, the company carried out a KRW 300 billion rights offering, followed by the issuance of KRW 700 billion in hybrid securities in March 2025.



Meanwhile, the company has also applied for approval to operate as an Integrated Management Account (IMA) provider.
