[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Shinhan Card has begun work to retrieve abnormal trading points for The More Card. Following the recent change in the terms and conditions related to card point accumulation, he sent a text message to some customers asking them to "explain where to use it."

Shinhan Card said on the 23rd that it sent a text message the previous day regarding the suspension of credit card use to some of its customers. The point of the text message is to suspend the use of the "The Moa" card as of the 30th of this month if the card usage details used so far are not confirmed as proper transactions. Shinhan Card demanded that 'you submit your usage details for four months from December 31 last year to March 31 this year' to explain the transaction.

In a guide letter, Shinhan Card pointed out, "A number of suspected cases of false sales transactions and a third party using a card under your name during the transaction have been confirmed." Despite the difference in the distance between merchants, the transaction time was too short or a number of so-called 'split settlement' circumstances of dividing one transaction into several cards were found. It is a violation of the standard terms and conditions of the credit card merchant to pay in installments.

A Shinhan Card official said, "It is difficult to identify the target number of people, but we have contacted only those who have used too many suspicious cases."

This measure was based on the revision of the terms and conditions related to The Moa card point accumulation, which was announced on the 15th.

Some customers who have been informed of the explanation are protesting, saying it is unfair. It is argued that authenticating the purchase details of the product is an excessive demand for personal information and that the use of the product before the terms and conditions are changed should not be examined. About 1,500 people gathered in the online group chat room in response. Some of them are raising their voices that if the card is suspended, they should file a class action lawsuit.

If you pay more than 5,000 won, the Moa card will save less than 1,000 won as points, which has been rumored to be a "net card." However, as some consumers repeatedly paid 5,999 won and set aside 999 won indefinitely, Shinhan Card reportedly lost 100 billion won on TheMoa card alone.
