[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Seoul – The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) announced on September 10 that a total of 40,380 vehicles spanning 16 models manufactured or imported by Hyundai Motor, Ford Sales & Service Korea, D&A Motors, Mercedes-Benz Korea, and Stellantis Korea will undergo voluntary recalls due to identified safety defects.

Hyundai Motor: 27,656 units of the Palisade and one other model will be recalled starting September 16 due to insufficient durability in the hood latch system.
Ford Sales & Service Korea: 5,984 units of the Explorer and one other model have been under recall since September 5 due to improperly assembled bolts securing the seat belt buckle.
D&A Motors: 5,512 units of the UHR125 motorcycle will be recalled beginning September 10 due to defective alternator hall sensors in the powertrain.
Mercedes-Benz Korea: 904 units across 10 models, including the GLC 300 4MATIC, will be recalled from September 12 due to improperly fastened steering system components.
Stellantis Korea: 324 units of the Jeep Wrangler have been under recall since September 5 due to improper assembly of the remote start antenna cable.

Owners can verify whether their vehicle is subject to recall and check detailed defect information by entering their vehicle registration or VIN number on the Korea Automobile Recall Center website.
MOLIT emphasized that these measures are part of its ongoing efforts to enhance automotive safety standards and ensure prompt corrective actions for defects that may pose risks to drivers and passengers.
