[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] According to industry sources on February 4, fashion brand Beanpole has removed a teaser video for its 2026 Spring Collection that had previously been uploaded to its official social media accounts.

The teaser, released last month, announced actor Kim Seon-ho as the brand’s new model. However, the video has since been deleted from all of Beanpole’s official channels, including its social media platforms and YouTube.

At the time of release, the teaser stated that the full advertisement would be unveiled on February 3, but the main campaign video has yet to be published.

The removal comes amid heightened sensitivity surrounding celebrity tax-related controversies. Earlier, advertisements and even a promotional video produced by the Ministry of National Defense featuring singer and actor Cha Eun-woo, who is represented by the same agency, were also taken down following allegations of tax evasion involving a surcharge reportedly amounting to KRW 20 billion.

Meanwhile, Kim Seon-ho’s agency Fantagio issued a statement on the same day to clarify the situation. Fantagio explained that Kim established a personal corporation in January 2024 for the purposes of acting activities and theater production, and that he received settlements through the entity until February 2025, prior to signing an exclusive contract with Fantagio.

The agency added that the corporation had effectively ceased operations about a year ago after determining that its structure could lead to misunderstandings. Fantagio further emphasized that since the exclusive contract, all payments have been made directly to Kim Seon-ho as an individual, and that the corporation has no involvement whatsoever in Fantagio’s contractual or settlement processes.

Fantagio also stated that, as a proactive measure to correct what Kim described as his lack of understanding regarding corporate management in the past, he returned all corporate credit cards, terminated family payroll arrangements, and relinquished the use of company vehicles.

In addition, Fantagio confirmed that Kim has fully paid additional personal income taxes on amounts previously settled through the corporation, on top of the corporate taxes already paid.

The agency concluded that the corporation is currently undergoing formal closure procedures, with only administrative steps remaining.
