[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Singer Kang Daniel has taken criminal action against the major shareholder of his agency Konnect Entertainment.
Woori, the legal representative of Kang Daniel, said on the 20th, "Kang Daniel has filed a criminal complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against Konnect Entertainment's major shareholders on charges of forgery of private documents, embezzlement, breach of trust, infringement of information and communication networks and fraudulent use of computers."
"Kang Daniel, who has been keeping the company as a CEO and artist for the past five years, has tried to minimize damage to his artists, employees and third parties, whom he has trusted and followed like his family members," a legal representative said. "I had no other solution but to hold them legally responsible, so I decided to file criminal charges with a heavy heart."
According to Kang Daniel's claim, major shareholder A is said to have signed a music distribution contract worth 10 billion won by using his status to embezzle company funds and stealing his name to seal a corporate seal.
Kang Daniel founded Konnect Entertainment in 2019. For five years, he has released several albums, including "color on me," "MAGENTA" and "YELLOW," as a representative and affiliated artist. In June last year, he also released his fourth mini-album, "REALIEZ." Until last year, he has been active in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, performing world tours.
