[Alpha Biz= Kim Young Taek] Mi-sun Kang, CEO of Dicio, has been honored with the Governor’s Commendation by Governor Kim Young-rok in recognition of her significant contributions to the advancement of the semiconductor industry in Jeollanam-do.

The award ceremony took place on December 4 at the Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH) in Naju, Jeollanam-do.

Dicio is a specialized company focused on the design and manufacturing of power semiconductors and power modules capable of handling high voltage and high current. These power semiconductor components play a vital role in various cutting-edge industrial applications where energy efficiency and precise power control are essential, including electric vehicle inverters, renewable energy inverters, and industrial motor drive systems.

The global power semiconductor market has been experiencing rapid growth in recent years, driven by rising demand for high-efficiency and energy-optimized technologies.

In her acceptance remarks, CEO Kang emphasized, “Power semiconductors are a core technology underpinning the nation’s energy infrastructure, and achieving technological independence through localization is essential.”
She added, “Dicio will continue to lead the advancement of the power semiconductor sector by strengthening technological self-reliance and building a stable, resilient supply chain.”

This commendation carries particular significance as it recognizes the substantial achievements of a region-based private company contributing to both high-tech industry development and the local economy.

Dicio is expected to play an increasingly central role in Korea’s domestic power semiconductor supply chain, driving technological advancement and supporting national competitiveness in the sector.
