[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Hyundai Wia announced on Tuesday that it will sell its stake in Wia Machine Tools for 3.4 trillion KRW.


This move comes after Hyundai Wia decided to spin off its existing machine tool division and establish Wia Machine Tools, before selling the stake. The machine tool division's recent revenue stands at 3.822 trillion KRW.


Wia Machine Tools will be acquired by a consortium formed by HMT Tech, a subsidiary of Lison Private Equity, and HMT Solutions, a subsidiary of SMAC.
